Hoffnung ist das, was uns begleitet bis zu unserem letzten Atemzug. Es ist das was bleibt, wenn vielleicht alles andere schon weit fort, schon gegangen ist. Sie ist wandelbarer als die Liebe, denn sie passt sich jeder Situation an. Sie mag irreal sein in ihrer Vision, aber sehr real in ihrer Wirkung. Sie ist voraussetzungslos da, mal mehr mal minder tragfähig. Wenn sie schwindet, nimmt sie die Seele mit, und unser Licht erlischt.
Gedanken sind eine Kraft; im Positiven wie im Negativen. Ein Gebet ist nichts anderes als die konzentrierte Kraft der Gedanken. Jeder von uns kann helfen, mit seiner Erinnerung an Schönes und der Hoffnung auf Gutes, die Welt ein kleines bißchen heller zu machen.

Hope is with us until our last breath. It is what remains when perhaps everything else is already far away, already gone. It is more changeable than love, because it adapts to every situation. It may be unreal in its vision, but it is very real in its effect. It is unconditionally there, more or less sustainable. When it disappears, it takes the soul with it, and our light fades. Thoughts are a force; in the positive as well as in the negative. A prayer is nothing else but the concentrated power of thoughts. Each of us can help to make the world a little bit brighter with our memories of beauty and the hope for good.
